The Yorkey-Rainey Invitational Golf Tournament, sponsored by Duke University Stores, recognizes the outstanding contributions made to Duke University by Randy Yorkey and Harry Rainey.
The money raised during this tournament is equally divided between the Randall F. Yorkey Endowment and the Harry G. Rainey Endowment Fund. The Yorkey Endowment provides funds for an endowed scholarship that is used to replace loans within the financial aid package for selected students employed by Duke University Stores.
The scholarship award is based on financial need, length of service, dedication to working with both employees and customers, and a demonstrated initiative to go beyond the normal expectations.
The Harry G. Rainey Endowment Fund, established in 1993, supports the Yorkey Endowment, cancer research at the Duke University Medical Center and the Duke University Institute of the Arts. |
